12 April 1953 - naturalist Luz Del Fuego stars in yet another revue 'Lá vem a cobra grande' (There comes the long snake) a not so veiled pun on the male genitalia size; see comedian Jose Vasconcelos on his way up in show business.
9 August 1953 - starring former singer now show-girl Elvira Pagã & Walter D'Avila in the revue 'O que é que o bikini tem?' supported by Daniel Filho.
15 November 1953 - theatre life in Sao Paulo was really hot in 1953: at TBC - Teatro Brasileiro de Comedia 'Se eu quizesse...' with Cleide YaconisPaulo Autran & Celia Biar; at Teatro Intimo Nicette Bruno on Rua Vitoria, Noel Coward's 'Week-end' with herself and Paulo Goulart who would soon become her husband - directed by Antunes Filho.
15 November 1953 - Yidish theatre was still alive and kicking in 1953... Benzion Witler & Sofia Lerer in 'Deim Milners Treirn' straight from the New York stage to Teatro Cultura Artistica.
13 December 1953 - Walter Pinto was the biggest variety impresario in Brazil. He produced at least one big show a year: 'É fogo na jaca' with Violeta FerrazMesquitinhaIvaná, a Portuguese transformist, Gilda Valença, a fado-singer and Ankito who was fast becoming a silver screen personality and would soon abandon the stage.
