11 February 1968 - song-writer, pianist, film director and actor Sergio Ricardo at Teatro de Arena directed by Augusto Boal.  
Fred Jorge writes about Sergio Ricardo for 'Melodias', #131, August 1968. He had a weekly TV show on Wednesdays at 8:30 pm at TV Paulista, Channel 5.

# 7, February 1959 - Sergio Ricardo introduced as a new-face by magazine Radiomelodias in photos beside Maysa and Nelson Gonçalves, the most successful acts of 1958. Maysa had actually recorded 'Bouquet de Isabel' written by the pianist-songster. He says his real name was João Lufti, but once, while doing an act job at TV Tupi, he was asked to choose an easier name and Teófilo de Barros Filho, Radio Tupi's artistic director came up with Sergio Ricardo. He played piano at the Claridge Hotel night-club where Uruguayan virtuoso Robledo made his home.
